In the age of the internet and instant information, there are more ways than ever to discover programs and services fit for the gifted learner. Forums and discussion boards provide parents with an honest space where they can share real stories and experiences about schools, organizations, and professionals – what worked, what didn’t, and what wasn’t right for my child but might work for you. Whether online or in real life, parents know that word-of-mouth is still the surest share of resources, especially for children with unique needs and abilities.
Join us for an informal, parent-led forum about giftedness and the resources that can help your child flourish. At this meeting, the facilitator will share wisdom and swap information about books, websites, enrichment opportunities, psychologists & therapists, homeschooling resources, and other pertinent advice from fellow parents of gifted children. This is an open discussion for all parents of gifted elementary students.
Facilitator: Denise Durrett, Co-Administrator for Eastside Gifted Group
