This Scholarship is more than GPAs and honors received in school. It is intended for gifted students who are entering a college or university and have a passion beyond the academics; an intellectual or artistic passion that drives them to succeed beyond the classroom. It is meant to fuel the intellectual and artistic passion within each student without regard to the financial status of their parents. Winners receive $1,000 to put towards attending a post-secondary institution full-time. To be eligible, students must be in 11th or 12th grade and be taking courses at an accredited California university.
Math Academy is a Pasadena Unified School District program aimed at radically accelerating the learning curve of its mathematically gifted students by providing a curriculum that matches their abilities. The goal of Math Academy is to prepare these students to excel in the honors math and science programs at the most elite universities in the world.

In 1980, Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) introduced the Mock Trial program, which already had a strong following in Los Angeles County, to all the counties in California. The program was created to help students acquire a working knowledge of the Calfifornia judicial system, develop analytical abilities and communication skills, and gain an understanding of their obligations and responsibilities as participating members of the society. The program currently involves 36 California counties.
Dr. Origer is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides therapy to specific populations, including gifted children. She has a specialization in the area of testing and assessment with over 17 years of experience and is referred by Mirman School for IQ testing. She also offers therapy and sibling support groups.
Dr. Tereault specializes in neurodevelopment and is well-versed in research on giftedness. She works to open a discussion, provide accurate information, language and compassion for the gifted experience by summarizing the latest scientific findings of neuroscience, physiology, and sensory processing in gifted individuals. She offers consulting in addition to speaking, writing articles, and conducting academic research.
The Highly Gifted Magnet (HGM) was established in 1989 as part of the voluntary integration program of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Its goals are twofold: integration and a college preparatory curriculum that serves a special needs population (students who have an LAUSD intellectual assessment exam scoring in the 99.5%-99.9%). The HGM, which is mandated to maintain 60% minority students, includes and fosters a multi-racial, multi-ethnic student body. HGM students receive the benefits of a small academic program – a core of teachers and a small student body who know each other well, mixed with the advantages of attending a public, urban high school.

The Russian School of Mathematics is an award-winning afterschool math enrichment program for K-12 students. Schooling For Life is a non-profit organization in the Los Angeles area, providing educational enrichment for high-achieving high school students.

He works with students one-on-one throughout high school to help them come up with and achieve their college goals. Each year the Los Angeles Section of the Society of Women Engineers administers scholarships which are funded by donations from industry and individuals to support SWE student members in their study of engineering and to help alleviate the financial burden.
