Brightmont Academy offers full-time private school, individual courses, and tutoring. The California Learning Strategies Center helps parents get their advanced and gifted children the education they deserve, inside and outside the classroom. They provide parent guides, consulting services, DVDs, and free parent resources.

The Camp for Algorithmic and Mathematical Play is a place for children with a deep love of mathematics and computer science, of thinking and exploring, to come together. They strive to provide a rich environment that exposes students to fundamental concepts with faculty that can provide unlimited depth.

Northern Kentucky University’s Camp Innovation Pathways to College Program is an innovative program designed for high potential youth to discover and explore advanced content and engaged learning. Camp Innovation offers transdisciplinary courses infusing entrepreneurship, science, mathematics, social studies, technology, visual and performing arts, and original interdisciplinary studies.

Camp Invention is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Led by local teachers, this program has tapped into kids’ natural curiosity since 1990, giving them the opportunity to become innovators through teamwork and immersive, hands-on creative problem-solving.

Camp SEA Lab operates under the auspices of California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) as a part of the School of Natural Sciences, and has close partnerships with local science institutions. The camp serves 3000 youth locally and offers experiences on the Monterey Peninsula that foster lifelong excitement, scientific understanding, and stewardship of our coasts and ocean by providing quality marine-oriented programs where Science Equals Adventure!

Camp Summit for the gifted, talented, creative is a week long overnight summer camp designed specifically for gifted students ages 9 through 15. Created for developing the “inner and outer nature” of gifted youth, Camp Summit offers stimulating and challenging activities combined with a staff uniquely qualified to nurture such a community located in a beautiful, picturesque setting. Camp Summit has locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Maryland North Bay.

Canada/USA Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for mathematically talented students ages 13 to 18, designed to expose these students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking. At Mathcamp, students can explore undergraduate and even graduate-level topics while building problem-solving skills that will help them in any field they choose to study.

The Careers in Science (CiS) Intern Program is a multi-year, year-round science internship and youth development program for young people from groups typically underrepresented in the sciences.

The Summer Liberal Arts Institute is an immersive summer learning experience for rising high school juniors and seniors to explore liberal arts and college-level education. Students receive college credit for successful completion of the institute.

The Carnegie Mellon Pre-College programs provide learning and development opportunities for high school students both inside and outside of the classroom. The Pre-College program, which mirrors the undergraduate experience, gives rising juniors and seniors the opportunity to explore their interests while receiving instruction from acclaimed Carnegie Mellon faculty and staff. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a robust student experience which is curated by Student Affairs staff and a team of residential staff who are current Carnegie Mellon students.

The CMS Adventure Series is open to rising 6th-12th grade students who are academically talented or gifted. Experience college life by eating in a cafeteria, using campus facilities for learning and fun, or live in a residence hall, explore careers you’ve dreamt about and dive deep into learning without the pressure of grades. Jumpstart your future and choose from challenging, fun and engaging topics.

Founded in 1984, the Carroll College Summer Gifted Institute is a one-week residential program that serves a diverse range of gifted fifth through ninth grade students. The classes and activities with adults and peers will enhance students’ cognitive and social development.

Catalina Sea Camp is a program developed by Catalina Island Marine Institute, also known as “CIMI”. Their one-week and three-week camps are one of a kind ocean adventure and marine biology summer camps located at Toyon Bay on Catalina Island. Sea Camp offers three one-week sessions for boys and girls ages 8-13 and two three-week coed sessions for teens ages 12-17.

Catherine Zakoian, MA, NCC, LPC is a national certified, and licensed professional counselor in private practice in Boulder, Colorado. For over twenty years she has specialized in counseling services for gifted, twice-exceptional (2e), and profoundly gifted children, adolescents, teens, adults, families and organizations. Her earlier career in management within creative entrepreneurial organizations further informs her educational consultation practice where she assists public, independent, and alternative PreK-12 programs and schools employing and serving gifted and neurotypical populations to establish and maintain psychologically healthful workplace and learning environments. She is the author of Raising Gifted Children: A Practical Guide for Parents Facing Big Emotions and Big Potential (Rockridge Press, 2020).
