Louisiana State University, Shreveport offers two options for qualified high school students who wish to earn college credits while still in high school through The Louisiana Early Start (ES) and The LSU Shreveport Academic Excellence Program (AEP).

Mackintosh Academy nurtures the keen minds and compassionate hearts of the gifted child in a responsive and caring community of learners. As an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) School, Mackintosh Academy’s mission aligns with the International Baccalaureate program’s mission, “to create a better world through education.” They have two campuses, located in Littleton and Boulder Colorado.

The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies (MLWGS) is an innovative public high school offering a comprehensive college preparatory program emphasizing government, international studies, science, mathematics, languages, and fine arts. Established in 1991, MLWGS is the product of a public/private partnership to support the needs and interests of the region’s gifted high school students. The school serves students selected on the basis of aptitude and interest in its mission.

Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted & Talented sets itself apart from others because of its dual mission. Students are immersed in an environment of academic rigor blended with a full visual art and performing arts experience, all in an extremely supportive environment. Twain is organized into clusters, or mini-schools, of four classes with a team of teachers assigned to each. Clusters are scheduled for conference periods to facilitate interdisciplinary planning, data analysis and communication with parents to discuss student progress.

Marlborough is an independent day school for girls grades 7-12 located in Los Angeles, California.

The coed Early College offers the opportunity for bright 16- and 17-year-old students to skip their final years of high school and immerse themselves in college at MBU.

The Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science is a free, co-educational, public school of excellence that enrolls approximately 100 academically accelerated 11th and 12th grade students from Massachusetts. Math and science are emphasized within a comprehensive, interactive academic program. Rigorous junior year classes and senior classes taken at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) prepare students for college academics before they’ve graduated from high school.

McKinley Classical Leadership Academy dedicates itself to developing each student’s leadership skills and creates a rigorous learning environment where high ability learners are empowered to graduate and become successful in an ever-changing global society.

Menlo Park Academy is Ohio’s only tuition-free K-8 community school focused solely on serving the needs of gifted learners, educating the whole child and offering flexible options for modern families.

Menlo School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school for students in grades six through twelve. Established in 1915, the School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of the National and California Associations of Independent Schools.

Metro Academic and Classical High is a magnet public high school in St. Louis, Missouri. Metro provides a challenging, quality education focused on high standards and expectations in an atmosphere of unity, enthusiasm, caring, and respect for self, others and the community. They encourage service to the community, while promoting learning in all areas to prepare students to become responsible members of society who can function in a technology oriented world.

Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy is a charter school in Charlotte, NC which provides a differentiated and challenging learning environment to support the distinctive intellectual, social, and emotional needs of highly gifted children. Metrolina serves students K through 2nd grade (Discoverers), 3rd through 5th grade (Investigators), and 6th through 8th grade (Apprentice Scholars).

Midwest Academy for Gifted Education is a 501.c.3 not-for-profit school. MAGE was created because they detected an important need in the Greater Chicagoland area for an independent elementary school focused on the unique socio-emotional and cognitive needs of gifted learners. They believe learning should develop collaboration skills, creativity and critical thinking in young people. They celebrate and promote the innate talent and interests of each individual student while challenging them to construct their unique understanding of the world.

Middlefork School cultivates a learning community that engages the hearts and minds of young students, one child at a time, and that places the child at the center of all decision-making.

Mizzou Academy, the parent program of the University of Missouri High School, is part of the University of Missouri’s College of Education. As the precollegiate space within the University, they trace their roots back to 1857 as a lab school, evolving through Extension in 1913 to offer correspondence courses for high school credit to students without access to education. In 1999, the academy became an accredited private K-12 school to offer diplomas to graduating seniors. Mizzou Academy supports the educational journey of global learners through engaging and rigorous academic programs and innovative teaching methodologies.

Located in Silver Springs, Maryland, the Mathematics, Science, Computer Science Program at Montgomery County Unified offers rigorous academic study in mathematics, science, and computer science to highly gifted students. This program is much more than accelerated mathematics courses. Students have opportunities to work with professional scientists and mathematicians from government agencies. The program offers access to many academic competitions and the opportunity to conduct fieldwork. Throughout all of their specialized coursework, students work with an academic cohort to conduct independent inquiries using mathematics, computer science, and the scientific process to solve real-world problems.
