Yunasa & Yunasa West Summer Camps: Created Specifically for Gifted Youth
Designed and led by eminent experts in the field of gifted youth, Yunasa embraces gifted children for who they are, helping them understand and work with the unique joys and challenges that gifted children face. Many traditional programs for gifted youth focus solely on intellectual abilities, overlooking the need for these children to grow in all aspects of their lives. Yunasa supports the whole gifted child, encouraging growth and support of campers intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
2025 YUNASA PROGRAMS
The Yunasa Team is excited for another fantastic summer at our two camps, Yunasa West in Colorado and Yunasa East in Michigan. See below for important dates and details about each camp!
Early Bird & Leadership Application Deadline: January 27, 2025
General Application Deadline: March 14, 2025
- Yunasa West
- Dates: June 7–14, 2025 *
- Ages: 10-15
- Location: YMCA Camp Shady Brook in Deckers, CO
- Yunasa East
- Dates: July 12–19, 2025
- Ages: 10-14
- Location: Howell Nature Center in Howell, MI
* Note: Graduating Leadership 2 Campers arrive on Friday, June 6. See below for more details on the Leadership Program for 2025.

TUITION
Tuition includes housing, food, activity fees, and supplies for the duration of camp. Travel to and from Yunasa is not included in tuition, and additional fees for unaccompanied minor and airport pickups apply.
- Yunasa West (Saturday, June 7 – Saturday, June 14, 2025): $1,950
- Yunasa East (Saturday, July 12 – Saturday, July 19, 2025): $1,950
- Leadership Program: $1,950
- Note: Invited Leadership 1 Campers can choose to attend either Yunasa West or Yunasa East. Invited Leadership 2 Campers will need to attend the Leadership Program at Yunasa West.
- Potential additional fees for IEA support with travel to and from camp:
- IEA airport shuttle fee: $50 each way (arriving to camp or departing from camp; $100 total if used both ways)
- IEA airport unaccompanied minor fee: $35 for each time used ($70 total if used for both arrival and departure)
DISCOUNTS
- Early Bird Discount: $50 off tuition for those who apply before January 27, 2025
- Both Camps Discount: 10% off tuition for each camp ($385 total) for campers attending both Yunasa West and Yunasa East
- Sibling Discount: $50 off total tuition for each sibling who attends the same camp in the same year

YUNASA LEADERSHIP PROGRAM 2025
Campers are invited to the Leadership Program by invitation only. For Yunasa 2025, accepted Leadership 1 Campers will have the choice between attending Yunasa West or Yunasa East, as a program will be provided at both locations. Leadership 2 Campers must attend Yunasa West in Colorado.
Leadership 1 Campers
- Yunasa West: L1s who choose Yunasa West will need to arrive to camp at the same time as traditional campers on Saturday, June 7, 2025 and depart on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
- Yunasa East: L1s who choose Yunasa East will need to arrive to camp at the same time as traditional campers on Saturday, July 12, 2025 and depart on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Leadership 2 Campers
- Graduating Leadership 2 Campers will arrive one day earlier to camp, Friday, June 6, 2025, and depart on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR YUNASA 2025
At this time, we strongly recommend that campers are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and that all campers monitor their symptoms and potential exposures leading up to camp. We will notify enrolled families of any necessary changes to this policy or additional requirements to keep our community healthy.
