Latin School of Chicago

Latin School of Chicago

Founded in 1888, Latin School is the oldest independent day school in Chicago, which today serves students from over 75 neighborhoods and 18 suburbs in the Chicago area. The school was designed to provide students with a rigorous college-preparatory education in the classical tradition, with a curriculum that was heavily influenced by Classical studies and the Greek and Latin languages. Key among the values of Latin School are inclusivity and the diversity of people, cultures, and ideas.

The Lower School serves students K – 4th grade with both junior and senior kindergarten options; the Middle School offers grades 5 – 8 and the Upper School serves students in grades 9 – 12.
