North Hollywood Highly Gifted Magnet

North Hollywood Highly Gifted Magnet

The Highly Gifted Magnet (HGM) was established in 1989 as part of the voluntary integration program of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Its goals are twofold: integration and a college preparatory curriculum that serves a special needs population (students who have an LAUSD intellectual assessment exam scoring in the 99.5%-99.9%).  The HGM, which is mandated to maintain 60% minority students, includes and fosters a multi-racial, multi-ethnic student body. HGM students receive the benefits of a small academic program – a core of teachers and a small student body who know each other well, mixed with the advantages of attending a public, urban high school.

A Message to our community

We are deeply heartbroken by the devastating fires impacting so many friends, families, and staff in Southern California. The health and safety of our community remain our top priority.

While our offices are outside of the evacuation zone, staff will be working remotely through Wednesday, January 15 as we continue to monitor the situation. We are staying in touch with staff and families affected by these fires.

We sincerely appreciate your support during this challenging time. If you need to reach us, please email us at IEAGifted@educationaladvancement.org.

Thank you for your understanding and care. We’ll provide additional updates soon.
